Eric Westover is a husband, father, successful businessman, and a below elbow amputee.

Eric's life changed dramatically in May of 2004 when his right arm was amputated below the elbow. Since that life changing event he has taken his life in a new direction with his passion to help others, dedication to excellence, determination to create change, and creativity in finding ways to achieve his goals.

Before his amputation, Eric was CEO of Westech Theatre Services, a lighting design and technical theatre company for the live entertainment industry for over 10 years. His resume includes 400 different theatre, ballet, and concert productions around the country.

Today Eric is a respected leader in the amputee community. His tireless energy, persistance, perserverance, and work ethic has positioned him to begin creating change for the upper extremity amputees in the U.S. including the servicemen and women returning from the conflicts around the world.

Eric is the Founder and CEO of UpperEx.Com, a web based resource and informational site for those individuals living with an upper extremity limb loss or difference. This web site has become the premier resource for amputees, family members, educators, medical professionals, and engineers around the world. In just two years, the web site garners visits from 30 different countries on 6 different continents and boasts a publication base of over 6,000 copies per issue of the magazine.

One year ago, Eric founded the UpperEx National Outreach Coalition, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the unique and complex needs of those living with an upper extremity limb loss or difference. The young organization is continuing to grow exponentially and has already made an impact through it's innovative programs for this long underserved population.

When Eric's not growing support for the Foundation in the office, he's busy traveling the country meeting with hospitals, O&P labs, manufacturers, military facilities, amputees, and their families fulfilling the mission with his infectious passion and stalwart dedication.
